Regular membership status is granted to individuals who hold an MD, DO, PhD, or equivalent degree and who are actively engaged in clinical, research, educational, or administrative aspects of hematology/oncology or an allied discipline.

Trainee status may be granted to any individual who is pursuing training in a pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship upon enrollment verification by supervisor. Trainees must be in their 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year of fellowship training. Trainees receive full member benefits, including a subscription to Pediatric Blood & Cancer. Multiple Fellows from the same institution can be enrolled with the Group Membership Application for Fellows/Trainees.

Trainees may join for $50 or $100. The $100 Fellow Membership PLUS level includes full membership plus 100 Self-Assessment Questions featuring questions and rationales on key aspects of pediatric hematology/oncology practice (new set of 100 questions beginning December 1). The digital format allows for self-guided independent study and is organized into 33 topic areas to match the PHO Review Course On-Demand recording.  Material reflects the ABP content outline  and is drawn on the KARE Toolkit Resources.

One-Year Post Training: This membership is granted to individuals who were previously in their 3rd year of fellowship and are making the transition to regular membership. Regular membership status is granted to individuals who hold an MD, DO, PhD, or equivalent degree and who are actively engaged in clinical, research, educational, or administrative aspects of hematology/oncology or an allied discipline.

4th Year Fellow: Trainee status may be granted to any individual who is pursuing training in a pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship upon enrollment verification by supervisor. Trainees must be in their 4th year of fellowship training to be eligible for this special subsidized membership rate.

5th Year Fellow: Trainee status may be granted to any individual who is pursuing training in a pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship upon enrollment verification by supervisor. Trainees must be in their fifth year of fellowship training to be eligible for this special subsidized membership rate.

Active International Membership status is granted to practicing physicians holding an MD, DO, PhD or equivalent degree who are actively engaged in the field of pediatric hematology and oncology, and who permanently reside in a nation outside the US or Canada.

Upper Middle or High Income Economies: This membership type is for people who permanently reside in a developed nation, as defined by the World Bank as "Upper Middle or High Income Economies".

Lower Middle or Low Income Economies: This membership type is for people who permanently reside in a developing nation, as defined by the World Bank as "Lower Middle or Low Income Economies."

Allied membership is available to those health professionals and specialists who do not hold an MD or PhD degree (or their equivalent), and who devote a majority of their professional activity to the care and treatment of pediatric patients with cancer or blood disorders (e.g., nurse, social worker, pharmacist, physician assistant, etc.).

This membership level is granted to individuals that are currently enrolled in a pediatric residency program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Residents receive full member benefits, including a subscription to Pediatric Blood & Cancer. Membership is one year from month of joining. Resident member application includes uploading a letter on institution letterhead signed by program director verifying current enrollment and expected completion date.

Medical Student member application includes uploading a letter on institution letterhead signed by program dean verifying current enrollment and expected completion date.
